There’s Only Good News Here! Mid-Summer Ministry Update
We are thrilled to share an update on our Summer Programs 2025, made possible by the incredible generosity of our partners! As we start our third week of camps we are praising God for the opportunity to engage our community and provide a truly enriching experience for all involved.
A highlight and joy for me is having the ability to delegate the daily operation of the camps to my competent team of Elaine, Meghan and Olivia, who were supported by many seasonal team members and volunteers. I have enjoyed delivering devotions to the teen boys and welcoming our Invisible Paw Print handlers, and their pups, who read with our students each day. Beyond the classroom, the spirit of "more play and unity" truly shines. Our "no phones allowed" policy has encouraged genuine connection and interaction. Believe it or not, campers were able to survive without their phones at camp.
We've welcomed an average of 60 enthusiastic campers each day, fostering a vibrant and engaging environment. A significant highlight has been our ability to invite ten children from other ministries who otherwise wouldn't have had a summer camp experience, providing them with a memorable and impactful week. We are delighted to report that all of our students received scholarships, and we turned no one away!
Our daily camp schedule is designed to nurture both mind and spirit. Campers dedicate an hour each day to exploring the "Story of God" and walking through the Bible, alongside another hour dedicated to reading, fostering a love for learning.
In addition to camps, parents and their children have enjoyed FIT exercise classes and received weekly fresh vegetables.
