Celebrating Our Hispanic Heritage with Joy and Faith

On October 21, our LHCC family came together, 150 strong, to celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month with friends and families. It was a vibrant evening filled with music, food, and traditions from across Central and South America, but more than that, it was a celebration of people, their stories, resilience, and faith.

In uncertain times, joy can feel distant. Many families face challenges that weigh heavily on their hearts. Yet, we chose joy. We lifted our voices in gratitude and celebration because joy is not the absence of struggle, it is the presence of hope.

At LHCC, our mission is to walk alongside those God brings to us, not only in moments of need but also in moments of joy. We strive to create a refuge where children can play freely, parents can share stories, and faith can be renewed.

As the bible reminds us: The joy of the Lord is our strength.” That joy moves us to sing, serve, and stand together. It reminds us that we are not alone.

Let’s continue teaching our children that their culture is a gift from God, a treasure to cherish and share. Even when the world feels uncertain, we have each other, our faith, and the joy of belonging to a community rooted in love, heritage, and hope.

¡Que viva nuestra herencia! ¡Que viva nuestra fe! ¡Y que viva nuestra comunidad! Dios los bendiga. (Long live our heritage, long live our faith, and long live our community. God bless you.)

Thank you for your prayers and ongoing support of our ministry
