Celebrating a Year of Growth and Impact at LHCC!
As 2025 ends, we’re grateful for all God has done through Learning Help Centers of Charlotte (LHCC). This year has been a journey of faith, learning, and community transformation. Here’s a quick look back:
Quarter 1: Strong Foundations
We supported 50+ students with tutoring and 30+ parents with education and spiritual growth. Health was a priority—25 adults completed the ADA’s Project Power program, making life-changing improvements. Jennifer’s story stands out: she embraced healthy habits, joined a financial literacy group, and graduated from our chaplain program.
Quarter 2: Connection and Celebration
We ended the school year with a family dinner and launched summer camp with 65 students—a 30% increase. We welcomed Olivia Cutshall to our team and partnered with Charlotte Center for Legal Advocacy and Faith, Hope, and Love. Juana and Javier bought their first home, and four high schoolers joined the Carolina Youth Coalition fellowship.
Quarter 3: Summer Adventures
Three weeks of camp brought devotions, crafts, and soccer sessions that taught teamwork and faith. Our family mission trip to Barnardsville, NC helped students like Daniel find confidence through service. We also launched NextGen Rise, a mentoring program for Latino families, in partnership with Seeds of Hope and LAWA.
Quarter 4: Strength and Joy
Fall brought challenges and hope. October was steady with tutoring and mentoring. In November, immigration fears shook our community, but we rallied with Zoom prayers, food distributions, and care for families facing detention. December closed with celebration—sharing gifts and planning for a hopeful 2026. One mom said LHCC is her “safe place”—a community that prays, shows up, and brings hope.
