Our LHCC families are so grateful to know just one American family who cares for them. We are hoping for many more opportunities to broaden networks for our family partners by leveraging our networks, so that poverty is not the end game. LHCC families work hard and are growing to assimilate to life in the US by surrounding themselves with supportive Anglo advocates, networks, and community partners. Economic, social, and spiritual connectedness are in our DNA at LHCC.

El pasado fin de semana, la familia LHCC celebró dos decimoquintos cumpleaños. Uno era para Yair. El otro era para Katherine. Uno estaba en Freedom Park; el otro estaba en St Andrews UMC.

One 15th birthday was celebrated on a beautiful fall day at Freedom Park enjoying the company of others in a multicultural outdoor setting. The second was memorable because it was special to everyone present in a sanctuary.

Perhaps you have noticed that LHCC just celebrated our ten-year anniversary this past month, culminating in a Kinship Kitchen lunch that coincided with our annual Summer Camp. It was a blast! God has so blessed our ministry this past decade.

LHCC has invested in relationships, that foster trust and advance social capital as parents gain exposure to new partners and agencies who are here to serve the community.
