Community Partners

Please kindly support our incredible community partners

We rely on the support of other locally-based organizations who share our passion to serve our community. View a short video below on the power of partnership and the impact that your organization can make on our children and their families.

Our partners vary greatly. We have sponsors that contribute financially. Others discount their services or offer their services at no cost to us. This generosity enables us to offer all of our services at no cost to the families we serve.

First Book Charlotte  has been one of our education partnered for the last 3 years and have generously supplied our learning centers with scholastic books for use by our children in the ASEP tutoring program, summer camp as well as for children to take books home.

Discovery Place Charlotte Adventure and exploration are the main themes of this popular summer camp outing. Children were fascinated by the Grossology exhibit and well as all the interactive exhibits which kept them amused for hours

Monkey Joes Children who perform well at school and attain A or B grades are incented with an afternoon out or Monkey Joes at the end of each semester. These folks on Woodlawn Avenue really share our mission for serving children and creating opportunities for them to experience a fun outing in the safety of a colorful, action-packed facility.

Urban Eagles / Mission Athletes International  Summer Camps are a highlight and favorite activity for our children, who all love to play soccer. We held a five day soccer clinic during the summer which included many aspects of teamwork, perseverance, belief and application of field-taught skills and activities to personal development. In addition Urban Eagles provides soccer development academy clinics to select players who have a bright future in the sport of soccer. Community and summer camp clinics are also offered during the school year. A season of training for a lifetime of service, indeed.

HandsOnCharlotte have recently partnered with us to provide ambitious mentoring volunteers for our weekly literacy program. Volunteers register to provide 90 minutes of reading support, for a day or as long as they wish. Register to volunteer on HOC website

Communities In Schools has undertaken to partner with high-school schools seeking community service hours, in return for valuable FaceTime with our awesome children. One hour per week of reading to children, usually a grade or three below grade-level is proving to make a big difference to their confidence in reading, while building relations at the same time.
