Jonathan’s Recovery & Care

October 2016 Update: We are pleased to report that Jonathan has made an excellent recovery since his ordeal just six months ago. Jonathan is walking unaided and is back to his fun self, playing with his friends and once again attending our weekly after-school program. While his scars are badges of honor, and his court hearing is still ongoing, we are so pleased that he and his caring family is with us and enjoying all that life has to offer this brave 4 year old boy!

Background: Nine year-old Jonathan Roblero from Huntingtowne Farms Elementary, and a resident of the south-west Charlotte community, was brutally attacked near a Charlotte park on Sunday April 12, that left him in a body cast at Levine Children’s Hospital, where he is recovering from his injuries.

Jonathan’s horrific attack and story has been captured by the news and media.  http://www.wsoctv.com/news/local/9-year-old-bit-by-dog-while-playing-near-south-charlotte-park/209288723 and http://www.wbtv.com/story/31692841/family-young-boy-hospitalized-after-being-attacked-by-neighbors-pit-bull

Learning Help Centers of Charlotte is serving the Roblero family as the administrator for a GoFundMe account to raise funds for the family to cover out-of-pocket expenses, as well as support his recovery and rehabilitation, which is expected to take many months in hospital and at home.

Please continue to pray for Jonathan’s healing and recovery to good health and vitality.  Kindly consider a financial donation to support Jonathan and his family. They appreciate the communities outpouring of love, encouragement and empathy at time. Through your generous support, 95 donors have contributed over 50% of the goal amount of $7,500!

Sincerely,

Brent Morris
